In this volunteer position, helpline calls will be forwarded to your personal phone during your scheduled shift, allowing you to provide compassionate support to individuals affected by sexual trauma. Calls may address both recent and past experiences, and volunteers offer a listening ear and referrals to additional resources.

We seek applicants who are compassionate, dependable, and supportive. You must be at least 18 years of age and able to provide a clean criminal record check. Comprehensive training is provided.

Available shifts include:

• Midnight to 8 a.m.

• 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weekends and holidays)

• 4 p.m. to midnight

We use a web-based system that allows our volunteers to answer any incoming texts or webchats from the comfort of their own computers.

You would be providing support for those affected by sexual trauma. These may include emergency or historical situations. We provide referrals and a listening ear.

Applicants must be very compassionate, reliable and supportive. You will need to be 18 years of age with a clean criminal record check and have access to your own computer or laptop with an internet connection. Training is provided.

 

Shifts run from:

· Midnight to 8 a.m.

· 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (on weekends or on holidays)

· 4 p.m. to midnight

Volunteer opportunities are available at various events and fundraisers throughout the year. Past needs for special events volunteers include selling 50/50 tickets at Westerner Days or Rebels games, delivering floral arrangements, and Ride for Respect.
