Free Evidence-Based Programs for Schools and Communities Across Central Alberta

Sendero Centre provides free, evidence-based education programs to schools, organizations, and community groups throughout Central Alberta. Our programs raise awareness about sexual violence, teach healthy boundaries, and empower individuals to recognize, respond to, and prevent abuse.

All programs are delivered by trained educators and can be adapted for virtual or in-person delivery. Free virtual parent and teacher information sessions are available for each program.

No Secrets — Grades Pre-K to 4

Elementary School

No Secrets — Grades Pre-K to 4

No Secrets (Grades K–4) focuses on personal safety, including safe/unsafe touching, secrets, and personal safety networks. Delivered over two sessions of 35–45 minutes each, in-person only.

No Secrets Storytime (Pre-K to K) is an age-appropriate adaptation using storybooks and activities. One session of 30 minutes, in-person only.

Free virtual parent and teacher information sessions are available for each program if requested when booking.

iRespect Programs — Grades 5 to 7

Middle School

iRespect Programs — Grades 5 to 7

iRespect MYSELF (Grades 5–6) focuses on self-esteem, boundaries, emotions, diversity, and respectful communication. One session, 60 minutes, virtual or in-person.

iRespect US 1 (Grades 5–7) builds on iRespect Myself by focusing on healthy peer relationships and communication skills, conflict resolution and personal power. One session, 60 minutes, virtual or in-person.

iRespect US 2 (Grades 5–7) This program covers an overview of bullying, including cyberbullying behaviour, the impacts and how to respond to this misuse of power.

Healthy Relationships — Grades 8 to 12

High School

Healthy Relationships — Grades 8 to 12

Healthy Dating Relationships 101 (Grades 8–12) provides an overview of healthy relationships, communication, consent, sexting, online harms and sexual violence. One session, 60–75 minutes, virtual or in-person.

Responding with Respect (Grades 9–12) teaches respectful ways to handle relationship breakdowns and provides tools for understanding difficult situations. One session, 60–75 minutes, virtual or in-person. We recommend completing HDR101 first.

Supporting Disclosures — Skills to support disclosures of sexual violence.

Introduction to Sexual Violence — Overview of sexual violence, dispelling myths and explaining prevalence.

Consent 101 — Discusses consent definitions, laws, and teaching consent to youth.
